Greeters & Ushers
-------------------------------------------
The first people you usually meet upon entering the building are our greeters. They are cheerful, friendly people desiring to make everyone feel welcome. They will put a bulletin in your hand and follow through with a handshake or hug. They provide information such as service times, the location of our washrooms, the Sunday school rooms, and the nursery.
Ushers will meet you in the sanctuary of the church. Their badges easily identify these men and women. Before, during and after the service, this ministry position is in tune with what God wants to do. Ushers assist people; whether finding a seat, leading in prayer lines, ministry time, or giving direction.
These two ministries are essential in our church and they play a very large part in every service. Greeters and ushers are unique people who have a desire to serve, who love to meet new people, and rejoice when they see the usual faces. They are placed, by God, in the church as part of the ministry of helps and they naturally excel at blessing each and every individual they come in contact with.
HOSPITALITY
----------------------
The church is not a building full of fine ornaments. The church is people. We are all individuals with great stories to tell and plans to make. One way that people know the church is through our love for one another. In the Webster’s dictionary, the word hospitality is defined as cordial and generous reception of or disposition toward guests. The Strong’s Concordance describes hospitality as dear, friend, fond, neighbour, associate, given to hospitality. Hospitality to us at Life International Church is reaching out to all people: new believers, new visitors, young and old alike, with warmth, acceptance, and love. All at LIC genuinely love people and want all who enter to experience the loving culture and family atmosphere. Fellowship time after each Sunday service is one way of getting to know the church family as a start to developing ongoing relationships.
See you at church!!
